Tractor Engineers Limited. (TENGL) is engaged in the manufacturing
of Oil Field Products
for earthdrilling and mining industries. A comprehensive quality
assurance program covers every phase of manufacture from raw
material inspection to final shipment.

Tough Applications.
Tougher
Solutions.
Fluid
end expendables make a decisive contribution to drilling efficiency.
They can make or break production schedules and inhibit or
enhance profitability. The recent advent of high pressure
and high-speed triplex mud pumps make increasingly greater
demands on fluid end expendables. That is why drillers around
are asking for supreme standard of quality from replacement
pump parts. TENGL's Fluid End Pump Parts are an answer to
their needs.
Supreme Sleeved Liner.
Conventional
liners have a decreasing hardness gradient from the bore.
TENGL on the other hand, offers a bimetallic supreme sleeved
liner. It is an assembly of liner shell with liner sleeve.
The liner shell is centrifugally cast and heat treated to
withstand Hoop Stress generated in shrink fitting and stress
reversal during operation.
Construction:
The liner sleeve is of high chromium alloyed martensitic white
iron and thin walled seamless tube. Special heat treatment
ensures proper carbide grain formation, refined microstructure
and controlled grain size. Liner sleeves therefore offer maximum
wear & corrosion resistance - and reduces frequency of liner
changes. The TENGL liner is manufactured to tolerances higher
than API specifications. The result is perfect fit between
:
- Pump
bore and liner outside diameter.
- Liner
bore and piston outside diameter.
Liner
Packing & Gaskets. Liner packing of substandard material or
design will cause Scrubbing : Lateral movement of liner packing
when piston reverses the stroke, causing wear of liner or
pump body. Wedging : Extrusion of liner packing under the
liner, making liner removal difficult. Bottlenecking - Crushing
of thin walled liner due to excessive tightening of liner
packing causing early piston and liner failure.
Liner
packing is supplied free with every Supreme Sleeved Liner.
TENGL also provides supreme quality valve cap and cylinder
gaskets for effective sealing.
Supreme Valve Assembly.
Valve
assembly consists of valve body, valve insert and knock-on
plate.
The
heavy strong integral driving lugs on knock-on plate nut ensure
easy assembly and disassembly when changing the valve insert.
The
lower valve stem with flat end facilitates holding in the
vice for insert replacement without damaging the guide area.
The face as well as diameter of the valve body is threaded.
This facilitates replacement of insert.
Selectively
hardened lower flange face of valve seat transmits severity
of impact to flat cross arms of seat instead of tapered sealing
surface.
Valve Insert.
Valve
Inserts are available in Nitrile and Polyurethane material.
Valve Insert is secured to the valve body by a strong knock-on
plate nut, which minimises the entry of solids such as circulation
material under the insert, and between the valve striking
surface and insert.
Valve
insert has a reversible design. This extends service life
significantly.
During
closing, the resilient valve insert makes first contact with
the bevel on the seat and absorbs shock
Valve
Seats. Valve seat has precisely ground tapered outside diameter,
which is perfectly matched with pump deck taper to provide
metal to metal seal between high pressure and low pressure.
Rigid
design of four cross arms acts as a guide to valve stem. It
increases metal to metal contact between valve body and seat
for distributing the impact forces over a large area.
Wear groove at junction of bevel sealing surface and flat
cross arms indicates limit of permissible wear.
TENGL also offers quick and easy tools for extraction of valve
seat pulling either manually or hydraulically. Valve seat
pullers are supplied with four hook 'J' tool puller head suitable
for supreme valve seat.
Valve Springs.
Valve
springs are specially designed to ensure knock-free pump operation
and high pump efficiency. Smooth opening and closing of valve
permits complete filling of the pump, avoids excessive surging
and prevents knocking. Springs provide correct load on the
valve in both open and closed condition.
